SC SYSTEM MAKES DEBUT AT MUSIKMESSE & WINTER MUSIC CONFERENCE
MUSIKMESSE 2008
The 2008 Musikmesse Show in Frankfurt, Germany marked the international unveiling of the new SC System. This year's show played host to over 112,000 visitors from over 126 countries, and the Stanton Group had maximum impact with a brand new booth in Hall A, which featured a live stage where daily performances took place featuring the new SCS controllers. Highlights of the show included Michael Burian on the new SCS.1m mixer controller (part of the new Stanton SC System) seamlessly operating Ableton Live, and a unique performance by top Italian DJ duo "Deelay" also performing on the SC System operating Ableton Live, joined by superstar bass guitarist Saturnino. Another big crowd-drawing highlight was the SC System hands-on station where guests were able to test the units themselves with Traktor, Deckadance, and Ableton Live for the first time! STANTON DEBUTS NEW PRODUCTS TO WORLD'S TOP DJs AT WINTER MUSIC CONFERENCE
Stanton proudly unleashed their latest innovation, the highly anticipated new SC System digital controllers to the consumer market for the first time during the 2008 Winter Music Conference festivities in Miami Beach. From March 24-29, the company participated in multiple events across the beach, all presenting unique opportunities to showcase the company's new products.
Stanton took over a cabana at Remix Hotel Miami in the National Hotel, where they hosted hourly DJ performances by top talent of all genres such as Reid Speed, Stryke, mLe, Topcat and Annalyze. Special guests Richard Devine and Michael Burian then wowed onlookers with performances on the new SCS.1 controllers. Additionally, on Friday March 28, Hip hop producer extraordinaire Hi-Tek took the stage on the Stanton cabana with an exclusive performance on the new C.324 CD players, and had the following to say, "This is a crazy piece of equipment. It's the next level for DJs and producers. I plan to take this thing to my studio."
The Stanton Group also participated in the AX Music Lounge presented by Sirius at the Raleigh Penthouse, which was a special invite-only affair where the top DJs in the world were interviewed and broadcast live on Sirius Radio. Stanton set up onsite each day to present the DJs with a one-on-one first look at the new SC System controllers, which was built to provide performers of this caliber with the performance options they require to take full advantage of their software and personal skill. Richard Devine also helped to solidify this notion when he impressed his peers with a seamless performance using his software presets on the SC System, programmed based on his personal performance preferences within his application of choice for the set (Native Instruments' Traktor Studio). Michael Burian created the same impression with his explosive set, performed using only the SCS.1m mixer controller, personalized with his own preferred presets within Ableton Live (his chosen software). DJs and other industry professionals were impressed with the diverse performance capabilities and personal options offered by the new system.
In addition to these venues, Stanton's products were also on display at the Official Winter Music Conference in multiple locations, the Recording Academy's WMC Grammy Reception, Bring on the Beats, and the Stones Throw "Hella International" Pool Party. Presence at all of these venues, along with the impact of the new products, helped to make this year's Winter Music Conference what the company considers to be one of their most successful events to date.

SC SYSTEM RECEIVES DJZONE CRYSTAL DISC AWARD
DJZone, the Web's largest information network for disc jockeys, announced the recipients of their 2008 Crystal Disc Awards at the 107th NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA. The awards are given annually to sound and lighting manufacturers whose products exhibit superior technical innovation for the mobile and club disc jockey industries.
DJZone's first 2008 Crystal Disc was awarded to Stanton for their SCS1 Digital Control System. The SCS1 control surface is created in the image of a turntable using a hi-torq motorized platter in a 10" form factor. This gives the SCS1 the vinyl touch that Stanton is known for when controlling DJ software, along with an advanced two-way feedback system where the software interacts with not only the DJ, but the SCS1.
"Remembering that there are DJs out there that want something more than a cd player or laptop helped with my choice," said Sid Vanderpool, president of the DJZone Network. "This unit allows the vinyl DJ to walk into a club and quickly set it to emulate the turntable which they are comfortable with. Along with that and the two-way feed back system, the SCS1 stood out from the other control surfaces I observed at NAMM 2008."
Only three Crystal Disc Awards are given out each year... One each for innovations in Club DJ Gear, Mobile DJ Gear and Lighting. This is Stanton's first ever Crystal Disc and comes from the Club DJ Gear category.
